This Returns & Refund Policy explains when and how you may return a product purchased from Sentinel Containers LLC ("Sentinel Containers," "we," "us"). It is part of our Terms of Sale. Because shipping containers are large, high-value goods that are often modified or delivered to your site, returns are limited as described below.

1. Return window and eligibility

To be eligible for a return, you must notify us within 7 days of delivery, and the unit must be new, unused, undamaged, and unmodified, in the same condition in which it was delivered. Return eligibility is confirmed after we receive and inspect the unit.

2. Items that cannot be returned

The following are non-returnable:

  • custom or modified containers and special orders built or altered to your specifications;
  • used or "as-is" units (sold based on their condition at the time of sale);
  • units that have been placed into use, altered, painted, or damaged after delivery; and
  • requests made after the return window.

This does not apply to units that arrive damaged or defective (see Section 6) and does not limit any non-waivable rights you have under your state's law.

3. How to start a return

Contact us at sales@sentinelcontainers.com or +1 415 662-3352 with your order number, the product details, and the reason for the return. We will confirm eligibility and provide return instructions. Do not return a unit without authorization.

4. Return shipping and restocking fee

For returns due to change of mind (not a damaged or defective unit), you are responsible for return freight, including arranging or paying for transport, and we recommend a trackable carrier. A restocking fee of up to 15% may be deducted from your refund to cover handling, inspection, and re-conditioning. Original delivery charges are non-refundable. Any restocking fee and the return window are disclosed to you before purchase.

5. Refunds

Once we receive and approve the returned unit, we will issue your refund to the original payment method within 10 business days (your bank may take additional time to post it). We will refund the purchase price less any applicable restocking fee and the original (non-refundable) delivery charge.

6. Damaged, defective, or incorrect units

If your unit arrives damaged or defective, or we delivered the wrong item, contact us within 3 business days of delivery with your order number and photographs. For these cases we cover the cost of return or repair, and — at our option and as permitted by any applicable warranty — we will repair, replace, or refund the unit. Please also note visible damage on the delivery paperwork at the time of delivery (see our Shipping & Delivery Policy).

7. Order cancellations

You may cancel an order for a full refund any time before it is dispatched or scheduled for delivery. After dispatch, cancellation may incur return-freight and restocking charges as described above.

8. Your rights under state law

Some states give consumers specific refund or cancellation rights — for example, a limited "cooling off" right to cancel certain off-premises sales. Nothing in this policy limits any right you cannot waive under applicable law.
